Bei den sommerlichen Ausflüge der Jazz e.V. Altforderen nach Saalfelden haben sie 2001 erstmals Jim Blacks AlasNoAxis entdecken dürfen, was das Programm des Vereins in der Folge ziemlich beeinflusste. Sechs mal war Jim Black mit unterschiedlichen Besetzungen bei uns zu Gast – aber bisher nie mit AlasNoAxis. Nun – tatsächlich 19 Jahre später – soll es was werden – wenn das Virus es zulässt…
Jim Black: „When we released “Antiheroes” in 2013 the band wasn’t able to tour at that time, so all the music on the album has never been performed outside of Iceland where we recorded it. Besides many of those songs,we will play some hits from the older albums as well as some never before performed tunes. I have also been writing new music for the bandwhich we will record in Spring 2020, so expect a different sound of an AlasNoAxis 2.0 on this tour“
